New website dedicated to supporting dads

Men, particularly fathers, often don’t use existing support services or have access to resources that are designed specifically to meet their circumstances and needs. Recognising this, as part of its Support for Fathers project, Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) has recently developed and released a website that is dedicated to supporting fathers across Australia.

The new website, which provides free information, advice and resources specifically for dads, and a toolkit for professionals who work with fathers and families, can be visited at https://www.supportforfathers.com.au/.

Development of the website was informed by nationwide consultations that RAV conducted with fathers, families and service providers to identify what men need to support them in their role as fathers and partners, and how professionals can best engage and support dads.

As part of Support for Fathers project, RAV is undertaking an Australian Roadshow to share the new resources with dads, families and services. To arrange a free community information session or professional training workshop, contact RAV’s Support for Fathers Project Coordinator, Dom Alford, via email or on 0437 305 881, or download the flyer for more information.

RAV is funded by the Department of Social Services, as part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022, to deliver the Support for Fathers project.
