Reflecting on a pivotal year: Launch of the Impact Report 2024-25

Today we’re proud to share the Relationships Australia Impact Report 2024-25, a snapshot of a year of meaningful work, lived experience and measurable impact. At the heart of everything we do is a simple truth: respectful relationships matter. They help people feel safe, supported and connected to the life they want to lead; and this year’s work shows just how important that is.

Across 94 locations and through 440 services, our dedicated teams supported more than 156,000 people in communities right around the country. This report focuses on the suite of services provided across the Relationships Australia Federation that are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services. From counselling and children’s programs to family violence services and relationship education, this report highlights how support at the right time can strengthen relationships and improve wellbeing.

The context for this work hasn’t been easy. Many Australians are juggling complex pressures. From the rising cost of living to increases in loneliness and stress in family life. Our latest Relationship Indicators data points to these ongoing challenges: loneliness has climbed, families with children are feeling the most strain, and too many people are navigating tough times on their own.

Yet the report also shows why we do this work. With an evidence-informed approach and a commitment to connection, we strive to make a difference every day. Behind the numbers are individual stories of resilience, safety and hope.

We invite you to explore the full Impact Report, to see what we’ve learned, how we’ve responded, and why investing in relationships is investing in healthier, more resilient communities.
